Modern

Modern classical music (or contemporary) is anything composed from the late 1800s even until now. It's typically characterized by strange time signatures, weird melodies, and other experimental traits. This music hasn't been incredibly popular since the rise of genres such as Blues, Jazz, Big Band, and Rock & Roll, yet is most often found consistantly within movie scores and television shows. Shows such as Spongebob Squarepants or Ren & Stimpy both show many examples of Classical, Romantic, and Modern Classical music in their soundtracks. Composers like John Williams and Danny Elfman are two of the most renowned film score composers, their music falling into the modern classical label.
